Project Profile: Poinsett Rice & Grain, Marston, MO
Poinsett was hit by shear winds in 2021, causing a dryer to fly off a grain silo platform and land on the mechanical room, destroying everything electrical and controls-related that ran the facility. The facility needed to be back up and running within 90 days to be ready for harvest to meet the needs of their producers.
Kelley went to work, demoing out and replacing the main service, MCCs, secondary wiring, distribution equipment, feeder wiring, branch wiring, motor wiring and controls wiring. Kelley removed all the old hard-wired, push-button operator stations and designed and built new control panels, created a new controls architecture and sequence of operations, and installed new HMI touchscreens.
